FAQ

Q: HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE MDS ENTRANCE ?

A. First of all, you need to start your preparation in time. Gather good quality study material and good books for MCQs. Make a strategy and go for smart study. Practice previous year’s papers and MCQs. Stay committed and consistent in your preparation

Q: HOW MUCH TIME IS REQUIRED TO PREPARE FOR NEET MDS ?

A. Preparation must begin with the start of internship. Each day dedicate 3hours initially to your preparation and increase the time gradually to 6-7 hours per day is sufficient during internship. Make a time table for your preparation and mark a time limit for each subject. This will give you confidence and an idea about your preparation level.

Q: WHICH APPROACH IS CORRECT: THEORY FIRST OR MCQ's ?

A. I know every student has this question in mind that without clearing concepts how will I be able to solve MCQ's? But trust me you have cleared your 4 years of BDS and already went through all the subjects. Its time to focus on MCQ's based study and smartly evaluating the area of weakness and work on that area.

Q: WHICH BOOKS MUST BE REFERRED ?

A. For MCQs, refer most importantly to Dental pulse (basic sciences and clinical sciences) ,Neeraj wadhawan (AIPG 10 years) and Current Dental Examination 2017-2019 book. Keep yourself updated with latest papers and books.

Q: WHAT ALL EXAMS SHOULD I GO FOR?

A. NEET-MDS is main entrance examination for admission to Dental PG courses and for Armed force dental corps. However, AIIMS and PGIMER (Chandigarh) are the other entrance exams conducted by respective institutions independently.

Q: CAN I WORK IN CLINIC WHILE PREPARING FOR ENTRANCE EXAM?

A. its all on you. What you wanna choose. But it is recommended to give your best shot rather than regretting later on. As Focus is necessary. So if you are in internship then it is recommended not to go for clinics. But if you are a drop out then you can do clinics for half day to refresh yourself. And quit clinic 4months before NEET exam.

Q: WHAT IS THE RIGHT MANTRA TO ATTEMPT THE QUESTIONS?

A: Firstly attempt those questions you are sure about and then move towards other questions. Go with Exclusion Principle that is if you are able to exclude 2 options out of 4 then go for guesswork and attempt that question. But if you are not sure with your exclusion then donot attempt that question. Because if you cannot make it on positive side at least don't increase your negative score. Carefully read your question, as it always contains some key words which change the whole meaning of the question like not , if and Etc.

Q: ONLINE TEST SERIES IS OF ANY HELP TO ME? SHOULD I JOIN IT?

A: Well, answer to this is a big YES. As we don't have many classroom centres around us and fresher’s are unaware of online exam pattern. So, online test series will help you to overcome exam fear with routine practice and also it will assist you in evaluating the amount of preparation needed for this exam. It creates the same environment as of the actual testing platform and help you preparing yourself accordingly.

Q: IS IT WORTH DOING MDS IN COMPARISON TO OPENING UP MY OWN PRACTICE OR PRACTICING IN SOME GOOD CLINIC?

A: Priorities vary for each individual. First you need to be confident enough about what you want to do. If MDS is your ambition, then just go for it. Do not confuse yourself and if you want it then put all your efforts to clear the exam. It is your positivity that will make impossible possible. MDS will surely add on to your experience and profile. But if you feel MDS is not an option for you, then go for other options like clinical courses and opening up your own clinic or other options in which you may shine better. Your future depends on your decisions. So choose wisely.

Q: ANY TIPS IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO BEFORE EXAMS?

A: The only and most important thing is "REVISION" along with lots of "PRACTICE" that is to be done before exams. Make sure to revise at least as many times as you can before exam and practice all previous year’s papers for at least 4-5 times. Plan an effective revision schedule to achieve your goal. This time will be very crucial and stressful for you. So, DO NOT exhaust yourself much and Stay Efficient. Refresh yourself with some hobbies or walks and have adequate sleep.
